SUMMARY:Failing Spectacularly and the art of 3D framing: Getting out of the funk
DESCRIPTION:Session 4 (last in this series) To fight or not to fight? Tha is the question! \nRegistration here: \nhttps://forms.gle/dFtfxTNH65CSamNo8 \n \nThis 4-part series is an experimental learning space to practice together with the purpose of illuminating a unique-to-you liberation structure within the experience of failure.\n \nThe journey between living and being fulfilled can feel like an uphill task because of the many energies dancing through life. Walking through the dotted lines of life\, history\, and ancestral agreements made before you existed can make you feel like your GPS is not working\, or that life itself is not working\, especially when exploring your individual capabilities. That was called failure. For some\, it bruised them; for others\, it became a proving method for parents\, friends\, or bosses. For some\, it brought them closer to their own life process and connected them to something bigger. And when we fail\, we feel refined.\n\n \nWe fail\, we feel this or that\, we pick ourselves up\, dust off and grow from it. Nice idea. But for many of us\,  those voices in your head remind of what you are not and what should have been\, and block learning. These voices are SOOO resilient and stick like super glue. They trap you into only focusing on whats wrong and what you wish you had done\, or who is at fault ….But are they hard wired? While the experience can be totally devastating\, is there any way out of the failure prison? The playful images here are meant as encouragement to not only suffer\, but to access your joy process within the difficulties.\n\nArnold Mindell and parallel worlds. Arnold Mindell\, founder of Process Work framed an expanded understanding of reality as three parallel worlds that in every day life we may barely notice although we are moving though these worlds day and night. These  parallel realities provide a wealth of information that we can use to transport us beyond the prison of social roles and oppressive power dynamics. The concepts and practices in this series apply Mindell’s awareness practices for these usually separate worlds to touch and allow for more wholeness and freedom to drop unwanted habits and try new ones. Hence in this series\, the term 3-2-1 framing:\n\n3 = awareness to live and interact in the world of many separate things (consensus reality)\n2 = awareness to rotate between polarised roles and get unstuck from one reality\n1 -= awareness for even a moment that all of us are in the current going somewhere together\n\nThe theme for this series came about through my own desire to break out of a repetitive reflex to hate failing\, hate that I hate failing\, then curious to learn how to harness the built in hidden talent and potential within the failing process and grow from it and with it. Built in from a Process Work perspective means ontologically built in – structured in to its very nature. Not a symbolic interpretation of the failure. Not an inferred rational “this must mean that”.\n\nIf you are at a point in your life where it’s right for you to unfold a disturbance by loosening the superglue that holds rational reasons for “WHY this happened and WHAT it means” in place\, this series may be for you!  Connecting to self and the journey of life from different realities that  unites you through the experience of failure\, allowing you to see the journey and its meaning from perspectives you may have felt but had no words to express.\n \nEach class includes listening to a short presentation\, connecting to your inner world though an inner orly to illuminate the theory\, discussion in pairs or triads\, and a large group process – all within the frame of learning and skill development. The classes are meant for developing framing skills using experiences of perceived failure.\n \n\nFraming – imagine any picture\, and notice how your focus  changes when you put a frame around it? Maybe you see it better. Maybe you can highlight an aspect of the image. Maybe it gets definition so it doesn’t melt away into the wall. Maybe a ne meaning shows itself. Now apply Mindell’s three parallel worlds to the structure of the frame – the pragmatic part\, the polarisation dynamic\, and the ontological (built in) meaning. \n\n\nEach month\, we will focus on getting to know and practice a unique framing awareness skill: \nEDGE: Framing what stops me from loving the experience\nPOLARITIES: Framing the hidden polarisation from hot spot to cool spot\nNATURE: Framing from perspectives of nature: water\, earth\, air\, fire\, heavenly bodies and spirits\nIDENTITY: Making a mess and cleaning up. Framing identity changes via your unique travel principle\n\nInterested in joining the failure playground? logistics and information below.\nTuition scholarships available for Global South Process Work students
